Real-life drama revealed : 'Bewakoofiyan' based on true events?
The tragic story of the Kingfisher employee who lost his wife and job, may be the inspiration behind upcoming film 'Bewakoofiyan' starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Sonam Kapoor
Promos of Ayushmann Khurrana's upcoming film, Bewakoofiyaan, show him as an official with an airline company who loses his job due to retrenchment. Sources are now linking this plot to a real-life situation that took place some years ago. It seems that Ayushmann's character is inspired by the life of one of the scores of employees of Kingfisher Airlines who were fired some years ago. The film is apparently centred around this character and the problems he faced post his loss of job.

One of the promos currently on air hints that the film touches upon all that happened to the employees after they were thrown out of their jobs by the airline. A source close to the unit says, `Kingfisher's retrenchment saw thousands of people lose their jobs. This was followed by widespread protests across India. Even in the film, there's a scene where a lot of employees are shown protesting and going on hunger strikes.
When contacted, a spokesperson for the film confirmed that the film's character derives inspiration from real-life.
Ayushmann Khurrana's character works in an airline office and he then loses his job,` says the spokesperson.

With Katrina Kaif suffering from fever, the shoot for her upcoming film 'Bang Bang' was cancelled
Over the past few months, actress Katrina Kaif has fallen ill several times. Her 'Bang Bang' co-star, Hrithik Roshan, too has been unwell recently. In fact, filming for their film was moved from November to January due to his ill-health. And now it has emerged that Katrina is unwell again.
It seems that on Tuesday, the actress came down with fever and worked for a few hours but on Wednesday, the makers decided to cancel shooting as she hadn't yet recovered. It may be pointed out that Katrina fell sick during her US trip with beau Ranbir Kapoor, after which she travelled to London to spend some time with her family. A source close to the actress tells us that post that trip, she has been shooting non-stop and travelling constantly, both of which have taken a toll on her health. "Katrina has been under the weather for the past few months.
Even while shooting for 'Dhoom 3', she had to vigorously rehearse her trapeze movements and this in turn contributed to her ill-health. Post this shoot, she started work on 'Jagga Jasoos', 'Phantom' and now she is shooting for 'Bang Bang'. She fell ill during her US tour, when she was down with flu again. And with the freezing weather in Shimla and Manali, she fell sick once more. So the director decided to give her a break," says a source. Director Siddharth Anand remained unavailable for comment.
However, another source says that the shoot was cancelled owing to a change of location. "They had to stop shooting due to location issues," says this source.

Bollywood celebrities are increasingly taking to social media to reach out to the public
Until recently, social media was just another promotional tool for Bollywood celebs. And while it continues to be so, social media now assumes a far greater importance in their lives. Today, actors and filmmakers prefer to share a statement or clarify their stand through a tweet or a post instead of sending out a press release. HitList points out a few recent instances when Bollywood stars leveraged the power of social media.
Anushka Sharma

Shah Rukh Khan
Latest release: Chennai Express (2013)

Over the years, he has often taken to the social media to clarify a thing or two.
Uday Chopra
Latest release: Dhoom 3 (2013)

Salman Khan
